Jesus often took his disciples away to invest in them for the work of the ministry.  The discipleship team does this for the leaders of the Life Churches.  It exists to develop them as missionaries, hold them accountable, support them through prayer (and also become the backbone of our prayer movement), and open up a way for them to stay in consistent contact with each other.
